SHREE MAHAKAAL MATTH
Shri Mahakaal Matth is a divine place for Lord Shiva Shivling. Matth is located at Dhari village “which will be known as Dharidham in future in regard of Shri Mahakaal Matth “of Nainital district of Uttarakhand. Distance is 45km from Kathgodam railway station takes appx. 90 to 100 minutes to reach the destination.
A Hindu temple is called a mandir or Monastery. It is a sacred place for Hindu worship.. Mahakaal Matth honour the Lord Shiva Shivling with beautiful decoration, sculpture and lighting. The purpose of worship in the Matth is to ‘have darshan’ of Lord Shiva . Worship enables the devotee to clearly see – and be seen by – the divine. Prayers and hymns (such as bhajans) will be played via Artificial means to help the devotee to experience the divine presence. Hindu teaching says that worship comes from human hearts and minds, and is expressed in actions.
Mahakaal Matth daily services of the mandir include types of morning, noon and evening arati ceremonies led by a priest. The priest’s role is to perform the rituals of the Aarti.
